Hello, I hope everyone has been doing well. 
Im going on vacation to St. Louis Missouri for two weeks for the winter break, now that exams are done its time to take a breather. Im going to visit my cousins, Aunts, and Uncles, since I have not seen them in such a long time. It is still quite warm in the evenings in Vegas, so it will be nice to have some snow in St. Louis. My plane leaves tonight. I will be looking forward to seeing you all in January!
A couple of days ago my best friend Caitlin called and told me to watch CNN, her brother Mark is in the army and CNN was doing a documentary on american soliders in Iraq who are in the medical field. It was a great documentary, one scene showed how the soldiers cared for a small Iraqi child who had been shot because she was thought to be a informant for the american soldiers. The child survived, but unfortuantly her family did not, so she now lives with her Aunt. One of the soldiers who read her a book after her surgery, went out side the medical center and cried because he could not see why anyone would shoot a small girl. Also another sad scene showed a female soldier who had got shot in the ear accidently by her brother, she died with in the same hour they brought her in the medical center. The camera quickly flashed upon her brother, and you could see he was really hurt. I saw Mark inserting a I.V. , and help taking a male soldier from the army helicopter to the medical center. I could not imagine such a job, or life seeing so much pain day in and day out. When I look at the lives of others, it reminds me how blessed I’am that I can sleep at night in peace, live in a country were there is oppourtunity, and education. Allah knows that I could have well ended up in a diffrent time, and situation.
