A couple of days ago my best friend Caitlin called and told me to watch CNN, her brother Mark is in the army and CNN was doing a documentary on american soliders in Iraq who are in the medical field. It was a great documentary, one scene showed how the soldiers cared for a small Iraqi child who had been shot because she was thought to be a informant for the american soldiers. The child survived, but unfortuantly her family did not, so she now lives with her Aunt. One of the soldiers who read her a book after her surgery, went out side the medical center and cried because he could not see why anyone would shoot a small girl. Also another sad scene showed a female soldier who had got shot in the ear accidently by her brother, she died with in the same hour they brought her in the medical center. The camera quickly flashed upon her brother, and you could see he was really hurt. I saw Mark inserting a I.V. , and help taking a male soldier from the army helicopter to the medical center. I could not imagine such a job, or life seeing so much pain day in and day out. When I look at the lives of others, it reminds me how blessed I’am that I can sleep at night in peace, live in a country were there is oppourtunity, and education. Allah knows that I could have well ended up in a diffrent time, and situation.

Salaam,Yes my friend some of us come from places like this ,but Allah s.w.t. showed his mercy on us.Let’s pray for those who are still struggling.
Thanks for sharing.
Wish you well

Zingtrial: I agree that would should pray for those innocent in the war, the soldiders, as well as the Iraqi’s. Those who escape such hostile conditions are truly blessed.

War is such a sad and scary thing. I couldn’t imagine being in such environment. Inshallah things take a turn for the better soon.

Hey Ahmed, I hope things do take a better turn. Too many lives lost, for what? Money, that makes small minded men feel as if they are some sort of “Demi-God”? I have good faith that the war will be over soon.
I did not know one of your friends name is Caitlin, I remember when Caitlin and I use to go to school together there was always two Cailin’s in the class. The other one was spelled with a K, Im glad that my mom gave me a unique name.
Thanks for visiting Ahmed
